An outline helps you organize your ideas, avoid repetition, and estimate the lenght of your research paper. Note the use of letters and numerals, and the observance of correct indention of entries. Review the following guidelines in writing a helpful outline. 1. Capitalize the first letter of every entry. 2. Keep your entries short and specific. 3. Indent the detail that supports the main idea. 4.
